You missed the point
They expect to profit in 2004. Yes they lost money in 2003, but they ended it with a profitable quarter and expect to keep profiting.

Right now with thier Athlon64 3400+, they offer a much better price/performance ratio over anything Intel, and all of the people I know have been buying AMD exclusively for awhile now.

I bet their profits go even higher in the 1st Quarter 2004. After that, who knows but I like having such cheap chips, so I can only hope that AMD will deliver.
