Digital sold to Compact because they were dying
The micro computer was not match for the PC in the market. Ken Olsen was a brilliant engineer but he did not believe in marketing. It will sell itself. The also believed the PC will not advance as fast as them. Yes the Alpha chip was top of the line but Intel advertised. Now Intel and AMD have Alpha technology in it. Blaming one side only is naive. Ken also choked.
