Sensible? Think again.
Chris Moller: "I'd love to be able to suggest an alternative, but who is there to vote for? Socialists are libs squared, Communists are libs cubed, Greens are so busy hugging trees and hating humans they don't have time for much else, and Libertarians seem fairly sensible, thereby guaranteeing that no-one trusts them."

Uh-huh. In case you weren't aware, the Cato Institute - where administration flunky Spellings said the plan was "non-sector specific" - is a Libertarian organization. Those folks are all behind anything that helps "big-biz types..suck you dry".

I like the Libertarian emphasis on individual liberty and personal responsibility (although I find it odd that they have no interest in corporate responsiblity) but find their philosophy (such as it is) to be intellectually rather shallow and their faith in big business to be naive at best.
