Well.. DUH...
Standard & Poor's Equity Research maintained a "hold" opinion on Intel (nasdaq: INTC - news - people ), saying Advanced Micro Devices (nyse: AMD - news - people ) will bear a large burden of proof if its suit against Intel goes to court.

Of course, AMD's bearing the brunt of proving Intel harmed them. That's a no brainer statement if I ever heard one. That IS, after all, how the US Justice system works - Innocent until proven guilty, the right to NOT incriminate yourself, etc... Of course AMD's the one who has to come up with the proof. Intel sure as heck isn't going to prove AMD's case for them.
