USB...?
Why not PS/2 ports? More USB/Firewire ports! Plus, wireless keyboards and mice for every computer.

Gotta be careful with the use of USB gear with Windows. I've seen issues where USB rodents do NOT work in Safe mode. Normally, safe mode is limited to the bare basics when it comes to drivers. USB would not be one normally loaded.
