I'll be Watching...

I have this suspicion that we MAY see PPC tech bleeding into the
'new' Intel chips.

Apple has rights to the PPC technology and it could be that they
traded those rights to Intel.

It's obvious why Apple needed Intel, but why does Intel need
Apple?

Hmmm?

IBM wasn't excited about Apple's business. They literally didn't
lift a finger to co-develop the newest PPC chips for Apple.

IBM spent tens of millions developing a faster game chip but
ignored the desktop lineup for years.

But Intel was all giddy about getting Apple's business. Why, I
wonder...

Just PR ? 'Stick it to IBM' ?

Or did Steve Jobs offer them something they couldn't get
anywhere else?

Rights to PPC technology. PPC's have run cooler than Intel chips
since the beginning.

Maybe there's a PPC/Intel hybrid in the works.

And since Apple has rights to PPC tech, Intel won't have to worry
much about a Reverse Engineering lawsuit.
