Value rules, not bottom line dollar
People always desire to maximize the value of their
purchase. Dollar cost is only one aspect of that. With some
people it is the most important aspect. With others, it is
less important.

Secondly, the economy is not as tight as you are making
out. The tech industry is still struggling because it was
hammered in the dot-com gold rush, but other aspects of
the US economy are actually doing quite well. Growth last
quarter was a vigorous five percent.
