it sounds all good and everything, and iam glad apple did this, but

i do agree with some that on this going days with the economy so down and jobs been lost by the hundreds every day

1k for a powerpc VS 200$ pc would be hard for apple to beat anyday

yes yes yes i understand cant compare apples 1k to a 200 dollar pc but at the end of the day the avg joe just wants to get online read stuff like this here,get emails, and maybe play a game or 2

thats why i repeat that it would be nice if another corporation jumps into the same market as apple (making propetary HD& SW) under a unix enviroment,

if that is done i think then we all would benefict from the competition, price wise at the very least.
