What about SuperDrive?
Why Apple can't make at least one version (even custom) of iBook with SuperDrive?

Combo drive is not always enough. People may need to record a lot data on-the-go. Example? You take pictures with your 6 megapixel SLR digital camera. You have 200-300 pictures taken and you want to keep them away from hard disk (perhaps ship one copy home to make sure that at least one copy will be safe even if the iBook is lost or data is lost for some reason). Does Apple really think that people want to play with making multiple CD's on-the-go? I think that when you come to your lodge/motel/hotel after a day of adventures you want to charge iBook overnight. In the meantime you save your works using burner. But burning DVD is better way that spending half of night at keyboard to handle burning multiple CD's.

Apple can figure out that it has to be rugged construction for backpack, but really can't figure out how people organize their time when going with backpack.

Good luck
