You get what you paid for.
My video card died on my old computer and my dad wouldn't let me fix/replace it. Instead, he told me to get a new computer. "Computer are like a toaster: If one breaks, you go out and get a new one." *

When it came time to get a computer, he had fallen in love with eMachine. Why? I have no clue. I said they were garbage; my friends said they were garbage; everybody i knew said they were garbage. (But this is coming from a person that has friends that themselves gaming sustems that cost $10000+... The scary part is that these people build 100% new new computers every year because their "old" ones are "too slow.".) After a day or two of complaining, he finally went out and got one anyway. I brought it home; opened it up; plugged it all in; hit the power button; waited...; hit the power button; waited...; hit the power button... after about an hour (literally) of waiting for Windows to load, I decided eMachines are garbage. (I was serious when I said "literally" and "an hour"... as in "literally an hour.")

Draw your own conclusion(s), but I still say that eMachines are garbage.

* I convinced my dad to pay for it, so I didn't care too much about cost. I love having rich parents. happy
