I agree wholeheartedly. I got so fed up with the whole
industry and the crap and DRm and who owns what and
argh!!
I finally caved in and bought a PowerBook from Apple a
month ago, and frankly, I haven't looked back since.
There's definitely more of a sense of ownership, and I'm not
constantly bombarded by DRM crap in windows media, nor
do things try to auto-install, or viruses in my Outlook.
I'm not saying it's necessarily the right option for everyone,
but IBMs got some pretty amazing processors (G5). Intel
should be shaking in their boots at how easily IBM
implemented 64-bit computing without any hiccups! The
Apple world almost seems less of a constant "IT race" like I
was used to though, and I like that, but I never would have
