- MacDonald's needs more engineers???
-
I'm sure that deep down you do know that this situation is a lot more complex than you are trying to make out. Having a degree in engineering does not make an individual qualified for, or capable of doing, every type of engineering job.Neither does it mean that all engineers are in fact interested in sectors that can provide higher rates of employment.
The "wholesale raping of American life", as you put it, assumes that America is a commercially independent entity as opposed to it being interdependent. Most of the people that are being recruited by American organisations now, are long term customers of American products and policies. They are subject to trade agreements and exchange conditions that can make their view of the overall situation a lot more abysmal than anything an American citizen is capable of percieving.
In looking at the global scope of things, considering the fact that America benefits greatly from its interaction with the rest of the world, it could be considered that American companies and citizens do indeed have a vested interest in ensuring that they protect the overall environment within which they do business. - Posted by: bayo0 Posted on: 10/23/03 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
