Yeah, only 2 years per the analyst in the article
I'd say it'll be dominant for a shorter time than that, maybe about a year. Problem is, cool has a short shelf life, particularly when it's much more expensive than equivalents. When having an iPod loses cachet, it'll drop out fast.
Some people just want to play music, and the device is not so important, particularly when availability is limited by the AAC format.

Still, nice work Apple! Whatcha got for next year?
