Or perhaps you didn't read the article.

Or perhaps you don't understand there's a difference
between consumer electronics and computers. People
seem willing to accept a clunkier, harder to use computer
if it's also a cheaper computer. This is not the case for
most consumer electronic devices, particularly luxury ones
like mp3 players. There are already cheaper devices with
larger storage on the market. Why is the iPod eating their
lunch?
