What??? Intel isn't a monopoly.
They are being sued for unfair business practices and monopolistic actions. You don't have to be a monopoly to act like one.

Unfair business practices like threating motherboard makers to pull your chipset from them if they produce competitor's board when your company has 90%+ business.

Or creating a compiler that compiles code for other x86 instruction sets incorrectly.

Or... Threating to pull the latest and greatest processors from an OEM if they produce a system with a competing processor.

People in these forums have complained of IBM having Opteron systems, but salesmen pushing Intel systems. We wonder why? Who is to say that Intel didn't have a hand in that as well?
