win win for both
If Sun and AMD can share R&D, its a win win for both. Sun has many years of experince in the data center which could help AMD while Sun have a partner to help burden the cost of R&D and other option besides fujitsu.

At our datacenter, our UNIX of choice is AIX and Solaris (along w/ some linux boxes). We have always bought ultra sparc chips for our solaris environment, however we are now considering buying AMD's from Sun and if Sun helps AMD, its definately a plus for us.
