Sad stories
The printer division might be suffering the load of supporting the rest of the company, including Compaq. But if HP sells everything except the printer division, then Carly has to go because she is in Palo Alto and not in the printer's organization, and if she goes, then why keeping the jets? However, where in history we have seen that managers fire themselves out?
I just feel sorry for all the employees that cannot retire because their retirement stock is looking closer to Enron. Hopefully countries where the printers pens are built do not start looking at employee conditions, salaries and taxes, because if they do, HP profit will drop; HP does not manufacture anything in the USA, they just harvest the world resources, like Nike, Disney, and all the corporations that are driving a world of consummerism.
