price parity?
In this article I read that Intel would like to reach the "price parity" between Itanium and Xeon families by 2007.
Today, 18th July 2005, Intel releases two new Itanium processors: for the first time since its first launch, the price of Itanium goes up! were USD 4227 a lot of money? Now the new Itanium top is priced at USD 4655!!! How can Intel says that the plans are for lowering the prices of Itanium by the 2007? Price parity? Maybe the price of Xeon family will rise...
