The company will also make a larger profit in the short term because all those employee salaries won't be paid.

The CEO is paid based on profits or stock price. He gets paid more.

Whether the money comes indirectly from the stock market and its pension fund investors or is a simple transfer from employees, CEOs know that by harming people and companies they can make a fortune.

They want to make a fortune.
