HP has lost its identity. There was a time when Hewlett and Packard ran the place when it was a great place to be. Buying Compaq did not help either. What HP needs is a Steve Jobs like character to come in and give the place direction and vision.

I hate to see this happen because I have some very good friends that work in the Houston division and they have been worried about this for quite some time now. They survived the Compaq buyout and Carnival Carly.
