Myth TV is pretty cool
Comming from the open source guys out there. Actually there is a lot of great apps for the home user coming from Open Source software. But it does go to show you that proprietary software companies are not filling that void.

Myth TV is a good example though it's very rough in terms of set up but once you get it set up it's wicked. I use it store my DVD content in a online library that I can access with the click of of mouse. Next thing I want to add is remote. Just bought a movie called "Second Hand Lions", funny movie, and I put it on my harddrive for easy access.
