What REALLY happened at NEC
"..The complaint alleges that in 2002, for instance, Intel agreed to pay NEC more than 300 million yen per quarter in exchange for caps on purchasing from AMD.."

Intel offered NEC a good price by way of rebates if NEC agrees to buy xxx number of processors. This is totally legal, NEC agreed. The arrangement resulted in $300M in rebates to NEC and the volumes committed by NEC resulted in 80% share of what NEC buys. Again, totally legitamate.

AMD's interpretation: Intel gave NEC $300M for keeping NEC's share capped at 20%. See how that works?
