That's crap: The "95%" is based off of computers sold. And since vendors have been strong armed into selling PC's only running windows,that figure doesn't reflect how many people go home and blow away windows for a better OS. Nor does it reflect the people that build their own PC, nor does it reflect the companies that have/are switching to other solutions. I'd say it's much more realistic to say that 85% if you're lucky are running windows. And that number is shrinking by the day. Why do you think MS is comming out with this anti-Linux campaign? Any company that owns 95% of a market isn't going to give two craps about some company tearing it up in the remaining 5%. Unless of course, the 95% market share is an inflation of the truth. (ding ding ding ding ding ding). MS knows the Linux threat is, in their face, real. That it and other OS's own far more of the real market share. And that Asia is basically giving them the double bird, and moving to Linux. All of these things combined should scare MS. But to say they have 95% of the market at this point shows your ignorance.
