DonnieBoy - Think for once. Even your hero Raymond says that 90 - 95% of all software is written as customized business applications. How much of that do you suppose is Windows client? You think every business, least of all IBM is about to re-write all that stuff to an uncertain open source environment. You think the world runs on an office suite. I got news for you my friend, you're delusional. Departmental heads in big organizations would do both physical and budgetary screaming at such changes. Further, IBM's PC division on both their web site and in their print ads state in every case that "IBM recommends Microsoft Windows XP (home or pro) as its operating system of choice." Maybe the IT organization needs to get with the program?

You might also want to review Carly Fiorina's address at CES. She made the clear point that protection of digital material would be a central HP priority for future systems. She's gonna pick your beloved Linux to do that? Right!
