A shame

Too bad it wasn't successful; we (humanity) need to look back to space and innovative ways to explore it. New methods of propulsion such as solar sails and ion engines interest me very much, because solid-fuel rockets seem very outdated and dangerous.

I hope they don't quit after this. The space programs around the world have suffered many big setbacks (including quite a few lives lost in tragic accidents). However, it's through those accidents we've done such amazing things as landed on the moon, send deep-space probes to explore the other planets in our solar system, and installed an orbital telescope that has the capability (after it was repaired) to look to the edges of our galaxy and possibly even beyond.
