checked you links, no PCs there
Yes you can buy RED and I've even seen SUSE and MANDRAKE right next to the Windows XP. But if you took the time to read my post you would have realized I made a point on that. People aren't upgrading they still use Win98/ME till they buy a new PC.

If I got people asking where they can buy a LINUX PC from. That's truly hard to find. Dell used to sell them and may still on thier high end workstations but if you're looking for PC under $2000 it's tough find. Thing is people never ask for Linux PC or Windows PC for that matter they ask for MAC or IBM PC or DELL PC and such.

How is that choice? It's acceptance. It comes with Windows and people accept that. If it came with Lindows people would accept it too as long as it did what they need it to do. Do you really think people buy the Walmart Lindows PC for $300 and run out to spend another $300 for XP? No going to happen. But they will accept Windows XP if it comes on their $600 PC.

It's not about choice, never has been. Think of it like this. If every car had Ford Engines but you could go to 5-10 dealerships. The choice is in the hardware not what's under the hood.

Software is intangible. You can't handle it. That's why it's ignored and accepted.
