I taught industrial arts at the Jr. and Sr high school level 40 years ago, but have been involved in manufacturing and distribution of food products for the last 25 years. I supported science museums, scienc e teacher education and have seen this strieving for more minorities and women in science drives. I'm sitting here with VH-1 running in the background and can only say this: When they stop pimping up their rides and shaking their booties, busting moves, tagging the walls and actually learn to read, the drop out rate in schools may drop and eventually..in 50 years ethnic kids in the ghetto may enjoy going to school and get the learning bug. There is no problem in sciences with Koreans, Chinese, Asians, Indians, Isrealis, Pakistanis and others. Face it. Science isn't go to solve any of the political problems., but hi tech has brought high speed porn And the new wave of cam phones, SMS and flavored malt liquors and blunts are wonderful innovations.
