no, your talking about completely different processors, and hes just talking about the frequency of a processor (Hz).

the lack of getting a G5 to 3GHz is one reason, but that in no way means that an intel 3GHz is as good, its just the a G5 2.7GHz isnt as good as a G5 3GHz.

when you change chip design, you cant rate them to eachother by the Hz, only within the same chip design is a higher frequency overall faster.
