There's no guarantee their relationship with Intel will be any better. Apple will be just as small to Intel as it was to IBM, maybe even smaller. Intel will still be primarily designing chips for the Windows operating system, Apple may end up being the follower.
If the Osbourne Effect doesn't completely flatten their sales, they may even survive to actually ship some Intel boxes. Guess time will tell.
