Great times ahead
This alignment between Apple and Intel could be a watershed event for the application of PC economics to the now closed consumer electronics industry.

Apple, with it's brand, style and developer community aligned with Intel makes for a powerful punch to Microsoft and Sony now focused on gaming.

This results will hopefully be an exciting path to new consumer equipment that allows sharing of content. My late 2006-07 PC upgrade will be an Apple/OSX "media center" PC on Intel - no doubt about that.
