Making it work....
The combination of SUN & STK may eventually be good for both. In the short term, they will probably eliminate some people, but in the long the term, Sales & Support will be able to offer customers more products. Old products (ie. tape) will be replaced with newer technology. Newer products will benefit from the technologies of both companies. Shareholders will eventually benefit, but only if SUN can control costs. If SUN rewards management with excessive bonuses, instead of leveraging the resources of the merged company, then this could become another HPQ.
