Reduced energy consumption is annother one of AMD's strong points. At full load, AMD dualie systems draw less power than Pentium D's sitting at idle.

The payback in energy costs could make up the price difference in just a couple of years of 24x7 operation.

Note: Don't forget to add up all those extra A/C costs if you plan on sticking with Intel. (You'll probably need an upgrade.)
