2 years ago we got 25 gw pcs 12 would not work out of the box. We have have had to replace 22 hard drives and 2 mother boards in the 2 years we have been using them. You know in all the years I have worked on PCs I have never had a HD just fail, some bad sectors but they never just stoped working. The real bad thing I see with Gateway is this is the way it has been from their start. While working at a university many years ago the students would buy these great systems from gw that would not work out of the box. Then fight with support for months to just get them to boot.
