if I were them.......
Hp is the single entity of mass printing, almost across the board. The reason that thier comestibles aren't growing is that most replace thier old machines with newer ones, but really don't print any more than before they bought the machines. The biggest drawbacks to HP technology is a bad interface between software, print servers, and the machines themselves, and the inability to manage them as a group. I think HP needs to develop server software, and a package that cuts down the amount of spooling, and lag time between pushing the print button, and the actual print happening in larger, print intensive environments. (it would be nice if there was some way to manage color profiles as well.) Hp makes solid, useful printers, they just need some tweaking.

I do howerver hate them as a company for the way that they deal with software upgrades, consumer electronics, and in general treat the public, they are too greedy when it comes to drivers, and upgrades, selling you them instead of for free (like the dell models) I may not have a great respect for dell computing power, but the service makes it a no brainer to recommend them to someone that is not computer saavy. HP does it better (I guess) but at what cost?
