What software are you using to get such 'quality'? Or maybe some of us are more picky. I have a SONY digital camcorder and have recorded several family events. If I hook the camcorder to the TV, the quality is simply fantastic. As soon as I record it to DVD, the quality just plain sucks. Worst than 6hr VHS tape IN MY OPINION. RAW DV from my camcorder is 14gigs per hour. That's MAJOR compression to get only one hour on a 4.7gig DVD. Try fitting 28gigs down to 4.7!!
Personally, I have been VERY disappointed in so-called DVD quality and look forward to dual-layer home recorders. - Posted by: Joe Blow_z Posted on: 12/29/03 You are currently: a Guest | Members login | Terms of Use
