Naive?
Americans are quick to condemn humane European social conditions as excessive. What is wrong with 6 weeks paid holiday a year? What?s wrong with affordable and decent childcare? What?s wrong with affordable and excellent healthcare? What's wrong with decent and afforable accomodation? What?s wrong with decent and generous old age pensions? Isn?t this what everyone strives forand wants ? Anyone, who thinks that less is better has been successfully indoctrinated, or needs his head examined? Contrary to Americans, Europeans have opted for life, not work. Peace of mind and enjoyment of life depends on feeling secure, and how many American workers know that feeling?

What naivety! Work goes where companies make more money. Do you really think that Indonesians working for 2 dollars a day making shoes for Nike that you pay 100 odd dollars for have pride in their jobs? If you do, the abolition of slavery must really worry you.
