Wireless in small town... good idea
I live in a small town and yes it would be nice if we could get wireless but good thing we have cable. The problems with wireless is that there is only a certain amount of bandwith out there. An access point is alway going to be using "hub" technology. Even though wireless can carry Xmb a sec and fiber can carry the same Xmb a sec you have to figure in overhead, latency, distance, and more. So you will "carry" more true data and extra nonsence. There for you true speed will be faster. I will agree with you that it is expensive but wireless isn't much cheaper after you pay for all the FCC Licences for the fequences.
