4/10 Dynex DV headcleaner worked but with issues

non user name - 11/19/08

After 4 tries it cleaned the heads. As others have stated, acts like it's gonna lock up, eat the tape, not eject. Overpriced for a generic product. Bad tape clogged heads on my camcorder & wouldn't read known good tape. Googled "bestbuy dv cleaner" before I went to the store to see what it cost. Without going to Bestbuy's web site I saw the average price for cleaners was $7-9. Got to checkout & it was $25! (No price on display) Started to leave & the clerk got manager to override price to $7.99. I call that excellent customer service! Thanks Bestbuy! After 4 attempts cleaner finally worked & camera is working again. On the downside, the cleaner wants to "seize" & has difficulty ejecting. Packaging looks like something you'd find at the dollar store. For $8 I'm happy because it did work for me this time. If I had to choose between a Dynex for $4 or major brand cleaner, I'd go with the name brand for $7-9. Good luck finding them in stores though. You better get one yesterday cause when you really NEED it, you'll wish you had! Bestbuy customer service = A++ Bestbuy pricing on this item 3x too high Dynex quality C- at best
