The Cingular revelation doesn't surprise me. Back in ancient times when I worked at Staples, I had to sell the Cellular One phones. It was a flaky set-up procedure back then; one that did not instill confidence on the part of the purchaser. We also received complaints about the billing system -- angry customers would storm into our Staples store, waving their monthly bills that had huge overcharge errors. So, this disclosure comes as no surprise to me.
