So, what we have here is the same kind of monoply that AT&T enjoyed until the same court said that AT&T must be devested of its hold on local services.

That ruling destroyed the best telephone system in the world that provide FREE equipment that was well designed to intergrate into the system.

What we now have is half-ass "phony" bells, that are merging to again become monoplies with poor services and no equipment. Once these little independents raise enough cash flow, they simply sell-out for a quick profit. And what was the benifit to the system... not?
