How do you get to that telephone pole in the first place? Ah, Fiber! We'll see what pans out, Verizon & BellSouth are going Fiber to the premise. SBC in my area is going fiber to the premise on new construction, and fiber to the neighborhood, then copper to the premise in existing neighborhoods.
