Fiber nonsense
EVERY single time that fiber achieved a speed record, it was reproduced on copper. Copper wire can now run 10Gbps! In fact, because of distance issues (laser light boosters) and translation issues (the light to electric-signal interface), it is possible that copper wire will ALWAYS be (effectively) faster than fiber. Of course, "Bell wire" is nowhere near Cat 5e copper quality . . .
