Well, I?ve been using kaspersky Av since its version 6 with great results, even with unknown trojan and horses up to now. but I would say that the best version of this AV software was the 7.xx. The newest version called 2009 (actually v.8)sets security so strong about which software or ports you may want to supervise or block and it's done automatically (If you chose this option when installing the program). But when it comes the time for new programs to be installed (i mean new ones) or to be unblocked, I cannot find the options to permitt access ports for internet or even to run them. Yes, version 2009 is capable to intercept more malware even the unknown, but I cannot monitor the actions the program performs like in prior versions. But the worst is that sometimes you only have options like: delete list (not infected file), quarintine or skip. No desinfect options, nor delete infected file. When this happens You don't really know how to proceed. Conclusion: Greatest engine to find bugs and malware, etc, but lack of instructions nor it is friendly to manage all its capabilities. I better got back to version 7 again for protecting my PC, it's a deliciouss AVP!!
