1/10 Customer Support is Horrible

jpr75_z - 10/22/08

Aside from Symantec being the king of bloatware and sloware applications, the couple of times I did need support, I was stuck with horrible online chatting with overseas people (India I think) who could barely communicate with me and were of no help. Symantec dissolved their online support forums a couple or so years ago, bad move, so you are stuck with awful offshored support or paying for support (is that offshored too?) Forget Symantec - there are better apps out there.

1/10 Did not fix malware infection

IAP-BBY - 10/29/09  (Edited: 10/29/09)

My ISP advised me that my computer was infected with malware, something Norton did not find. The technical support experience was very frustrating and eventually I was successful by doing a complete reload of my O/S and all applications. During the process Norton backup failed to take copies of some of my files adding to the bad experience.
