So, you say MSO is crap?
You said, "Because OpenOffice is crap, compared to MS Office. It lacks features, its buggy, and it is, after all, an exact copy (like most open source programs) of MS Office."
If OOo is an "exact copy", it does mean that MS Office lacks features and is buggy, right?
I'm happy I didn't have to pay for crap like you did, then - free crap makes great fertilizer, at least.

Most open source programs were created before Windows even appeared: GNU/Linux were a copy of UNIX (1970's), Xorg is an implementation of MIT's X protocol, and one of its first GUI elements (currently found in Motif) date back to early 1980's - and were actually licensed by Apple. since then, very little innovation (more colors, but still same paradigm). MS-DOS was a simplified copy of CP/M, itself a simplified copy of UNIX. Windows XP's kernel is a fork of VMS.

In short, saying FOSS softwares are MS ripoff is taking it backwards.

As for "lacking features" and "buggy", it's funny, as MS Word can't allow me to work on a 15 pages document without crashing daily and will lose all formatting if I change the printer driver, and still managed to copy OOo's Stylist, (attempted to copy) OOo's direct to PDF export, OOo's native support of an XML-based document format, OOo's multiple script language support and OOo's style-oriented formatting system... I'll add Koffice's PDF import capabilities.

You should be honest and say "I'm so used to MS Office I can't find my way out of a different application".
