Well that's coz poor quality staff is hired for call centre work by SKY company. I know the kind of people who work there. So don't make generalised statements. Blame your cable company for paying **** pay and hiring **** people.

And customer service (call centres) has got nothing to do with Software Development.

I would suggest you to google three words "INFOSYS" "Wipro" "TCS" .. you'll get the idea of the kind of image these countires have in International market...
