you are right
you wouldn't get far. I don't care if you feel your "precious" socialism" is the best way to live. That's fine. Pay taxes out the a** and leave manufacturing to the rest of the world. In France you can be an "idea" society and let others pay for your college for a lifetime if you like. How nice. They never paid back the billions they owe anyway. And the EU could care less that the U.S. propped up the Euro and gave until it hurt to bring back prosperity and reconstruction to Europe. Not to mention a half a million lives.

I just believe that the private sector is more efficient and no less corrupt than the government. Huge overhead having much government control. Markets are organic. MS didn't set out to be a "monopoly" Which last i check the english language dictionary, it had not swayed from it's 100% control defintion, which MS has never had.

To have the government force parity, as in the EU, is a disaster more harmful than 10 monopolies.

MS, based on many accounts, including my own, did not kill of Netscape or anyone else. Netscape overreacted to the IE4 threat and changed their product entirely. They dropped support for HTML 4, and since people like you are always talking about "standards", that was the move that did them in. I used Netscape at that time and had NO intentions of switching to IE. Nobody i knew i did, until netscape no longer worked half the time. Then, there was no choice. MS didn't do that, Netscape did that.

Funny how their mascot was "mozilla" which is carried on today and meant "mosaic" "killer" in a eubonics sort of way. What comes around goes around? Is that the saying? Netscape aimed to kill off mosaic.

There was a suit filed againt MS and it was a business decision, happens all the time with companies like Google, Apple, EU compaines etc etc., to pay it rather than going through the court proceedings and most likely end up with more costs. A pure business decision.

Microsoft, as they often are, was falsely accused. You tell me a browser would have been fine if MS hadn't bundled and they ditched mainstream HTML 4.0 support. If so i've got a bridge i want to sell you.

That's why i pray the liberals don't get full power in the U.S. Socialized medicine scares me. But luckily not even Hillary clinton's universal healthcare would be the same as socialized medicine. There is a reason the U.S. has the best medical practitioners in the world and it needs to stay that way. I have an internist as my physician and i can get in to see him, if it's urgent, usually the same day, no more than a few. Even routine visits are no more than a few weeks wait from the time i schedule it.
