IE is not part of Vista only because Microsoft got sued to hell and back because of their anti-competitive practices in the OS. Vista got pwnd, period.

By the way, there is an EXCELLENT Blackhat podcast on a Vista boot hack, that is PURE Vista (seeing as how you are a purist). There is also the announcement of 0day local and remote service level privilege escalation to own everything from 2008 down.

Vista has YET to have been hacked....where have you been?
