10/10 Or... you could go to the library

jim.denny@... - 01/26/09

I have been doing audio books for years, they are great for long commutes - not so good in the city. I get most of mine at the local library, which has hundreds for free. Or I go to Cracker Barrel, where I can rent them for 3.50 a week. Audible charges 14.95 a month for 1 credit for 1 book (some titles are more?). For $14.00 a month I can get 4 at Cracker Barrel, or as many as I can listen to at the library and I can but coffee to boot. And for in-town or when I am tired of books, the library also has thousands of music CDs, old and new. Out city has 100,000 people, I can't imagine what you could find in a large city library. Audible.com seems awful exensive to me.
