Microsoft has more money then Arnold and Calif. so who cares,If it wasn't for MS (and I'm not the BIGGEST fan) there wouldn't be a computer in 68% of the households in America,In a study done with the top competitors to Windows, A research group from USC sat down 500 people over 10 days with basic Windows user ability and put them behind systems with Linux,Free BSD,ECT,ECT,within 10 minutes 1/4 had given up, in 1 hour 1/3 had left,Out of the 500 only 26 were able to get the systems up and running,AND the OS was already INSTALLED,So you may not like Bill Gates or Steve but hey How many people hate Ford,Chevy,ECT.But would you rather walk 25 miles on the L.A. freeway or drive a car you hate???Think About it.It's not the best but you sit down and develop from scratch a complete system that works better and copies nothing from Windows,Right now everything is an off shoot of the original IBM/Apple stuff just patched and repatched over time.What most peoples hate is it comes down to jealousy and the fact it's not perfect well what is.This is World Changing History over the last 15 years.Think about the 64 Commodore and 10 or so years later the Dual Xeon with 6GB's of DDR-2.It has changed everything from Teaching,Learning,Health,Wealth,Every Part of are lives.
